Board of Supervisors District 4 Candidates Speak On Saturday, May 25, 2024

The local chapter of Yavapai County’s Conservatives for a Constitutional Republic (ConCR) has announced that their next meeting, this Saturday at 11:15AM, will host a candidate forum for the Board of Supervisor Candidates for District 4. The three candidates who are confirmed to appear and will be on the ballot for the July 30th Republican  primary election  include, Craig Brown,  Chris Kuknyo, and Luci Wheat.  The  meeting is free and open to the public but seating is limited.  Those wishing to attend are asked to RSVP at concr2018@gmail.com.

Incumbent Craig Brown is a retired law enforcement officer from California. He moved to the Williamson Valley area of Yavapai County in 2005 and became involved in community affairs. In 2013 he was elected to the Yavapai County Board of Supervisors for District 4 and and is now running for his fifth term.  He lists among his major accomplishments his role in the construction of the new County Jail and Justice Center on  Prescott Lakes Parkway.

Challenger Chris Kuknyo is a longtime resident of Prescott and a former member of the Prescott City Council.  He is one of founders of Patriot Disposal and is currently active in the commercial life of Yavapai County as a licensed real estate agent. He is politically active in the Republican Men’s Forum and is familiar to local  KYCA listeners for his weekly radio show.

A second challenger, Luci Wheat, is making her first run for elective  office.  She currently  serves as First Vice Chair of the Yavapai County Republican Party. Ms. Wheat has lived with her husband and two children in Yavapai County since 2017.  She has been active in the Republican Women of Prescott and is currently Chair of the Republican National  Hispanic Assembly.

The Yavapai County Chapter of Conservatives for a Constitutional Republic is a group of conservative activists dedicated to defending and promoting the values of representative government as set forth in the United States Constitution. They are a private organization and not directly affiliated with a political party. However,  most members are registered Republicans or conservative leaning Independents who are civically engaged or are current or former elected officials or candidates for office.

During this election year, President Dutton has scheduled candidates for all top level state and national offices to address the group.

ConCR meets monthly at the Bible Baptist Church,  3490 N. State Road 89, in Chino Valley.  Recent speakers include Congressman Eli Crane, current CD8 Candidate,  Abe Hamadah,  LD1 Senate Candidates Ken Bennet and Steve Zipperman, and many other prominent conservative figures and candidates for office.

ConCR is a membership organization.  However,  in the interest of informing voters about important issues and candidates,  the appearances of guest speakers of high public interest are open to the public.  All those wishing to meet the candidates for District 4 Board of Supervisors, and learn about their backgrounds and plans for the District are cordially invited to attend. Time permitting the candidates will stand for questions from the audience.

Doors open at 11:00AM.  The meeting will begin promptly at 11:15AM.   RSVPs are requested and should be directed to concr2018@gmail.com.
