The Yavapai County Pachyderms will host US Senate Candidate and Pinal County Sheriff Mark Lamb, at a Meet and Greet this Saturday afternoon, April 20th, at a private residence at the Prescott Golf Club in Dewey. Sheriff Lamb’s appearance is an opportunity for local voters to meet a Republican candidate who many hope will restore one of Arizona’s two senate seats to Republican control. Sue Goodchild, long-time political activist and leader of the Yavapai County Pachyderms has opened the event to the general public. The event is free. Light refreshments will be served. An RSVP to suepachy@gmail.com is requested for directions and parking instructions.
Sheriff Lamb was elected Pinal County Sheriff in 2016, and reelected in 2020 with 97% of the Pinal County vote. He has earned a national reputation for his hard line stance on border security, the defense of the Second Amendment, and his resistance to vaccine mandates during the COVID crises. He has been a featured guest on FOX News and Newsmax.
As Pinal County Sheriff, Mark Lamb heads the third largest sheriff’s department in Arizona. Although technically not a border sheriff, Sheriff Lamb has become a national spokesman for stronger measures to stem the flow of illegal immigrants, human trafficking, and the smuggling of illegal drugs into Arizona. He has appeared with Donald Trump at the White House and at rallies across the country. He remains an ardent Trump supporter and calls for finishing President Trump’s Border Wall and the repatriation of migrants who have illegally entered our country.
The Pachyderm Club was founded in 2007 by conservative firebrands Don Goldwater and former State Senator Thayer Vershoor and former president of the Arizona Republican Assembly, Phil Mason, as a platform for conservative voices within the Arizona GOP. For many years, the Yavapai County Chapter was led by Sue Goodchild, and held ‘standing room only’ monthly meetings at the Bonfire Restaurant in Chino Valley. After a fire at the restaurant and COVID closures, Pachyderm meetings were suspended. But earlier this year Ms. Goodchild and longtime supporters revived the Pachyderms and will hold a full schedule of candidate events leading up to 2024 election. All those wishing to meet Sheriff Lamb and learn about his conservative “America First” platform are cordially invited to attend. Please RSVP at suepachy@gmail.com for directions and parking instructions.
