On Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at approximately 1:34 p.m., emergency crews from the Central Arizona Fire and Medical Authority (CAFMA), Prescott Fire Department, Prescott Valley Police Department, and Priority Ambulance responded to a reported structure fire on the 7000 block of East Prairie Hill in Prescott Valley, Arizona.
Initial information received was that a camper located at the side of the residence was on fire. The flames from the camper made their way into the attic of the residence causing it to catch fire. The occupants of the affected residence evacuated prior to the arrival of emergency crews.
Firefighters achieved a quick knockdown, preventing the fire from reaching neighboring residences. The occupants of the damaged residence were displaced and are receiving assistance from the Arizona Crisis Team (ACT); there were no reported injuries. The fire is under investigation.
CAFMA extends its gratitude to all its public safety and community partners, including the dispatchers at the Prescott Regional Communications Center, for their dedication and assistance.
