The Prescott Badgers let one get away in a 12-6 loss to the Saguaro Sabercats at Prescott High School.

The Badgers led 3-1 after Jack Burton hit a three run homer over the left field fence in the third inning. Prescott would give up three in the top of the fifth and trailed by just one, 4-3 heading into the sixth inning. That is when the wheels came off the wagon so to speak. Saguaro took advantage of a pair of errors and capitalized with four runs to go up 8-3. After a one, two, three inning at the plate for Prescott, the Sabercats once again took advantage of miscues to put another four spot on the board.
Trailing 12-3, the Badgers had two runners on when Ryan Elliot duplicated what Burton did in the third inning, with a three run shot over the left field fence.
After that, the Badgers went quietly with two batters striking out to end the game.
Prescott drops to (7-3) and will play again when they travel up north to face the Coconino Panthers in the Grand Canyon Region opener on Tuesday. Saguaro improves their record to (9-2).
