Starting on March 1, day-use hours will be extended reflecting the longer hours of daylight. Gates will open at 7:00 a.m. and close at 7:00 p.m. daily through April 30 when the summer schedule takes effect. During periods of inclement weather, recreation sites may remain closed or open late as conditions improve.
The effected day-use sites include:

Granite Lake Boat Launch
Playa Picnic Area
Metate Trailhead
Thumb Butte Recreation Area:

Gold Panning Day Use
