On January 5, 2024, the Humboldt Education Foundation (HEF) donated school supplies from the Create-A-Tree to Mountain View Elementary Principal, Kim Grant. The Town’s display of festive trees and wreaths is in its 22nd year at the Prescott Valley Public Library. The HEF tree was decorated with school supplies to add cheer and support local educators. Aimee Flemming, President of the Humboldt Education Foundation said that the board was proud to participate in the town’s Create-A-Tree event.  She said, “this year we donated all items on our tree to one of our local schools, Mountain View Elementary School. Principal Grant joined us in accepting the donation.”  Each year HEF plans on participating in this feel-good holiday tradition and rotating the schools that will receive the donation.

Other Foundation projects include presentation of Teacher of the Year this April, scholarship grants for graduating seniors, and classroom grants for special projects. HEF is a 501 (c)3 nonprofit organization and an approved State of Arizona Qualifying Charitable Organization for Arizona Tax Credit program.
