Uriah Tenette scored a career high 48 points to lead the Prescott Badgers to a 75-61 win over the Tempe Buffaloes. Tenette was very active on the court, besides scoring a school record 48, the junior contributed with 11 rebounds, 5 assists, and 5 steals.
“I just came out and did what I had to help the team,” said Tenette. I’m not paying attention to what my numbers are. I am more focused on doing what I can to help this team get the win. I didn’t think I played that great tonight, missed too many free throws, but we were able to get the win, and that’s the main thing.”

Costa Contreras scored 10. Lucas Tobin scored six and had five rebounds. Andrew Lyon, along with Tenette had five steals.
The Badgers built a lead that grew to 22 points early in the second half, but Tempe (4-8), kept hanging around and closed the Prescott lead to nine with three minutes to play. That was as close as they got as Badgers made the baskets from the line down the stretch.
Prescott improves to (7-2) and will take part in the Torrey Pines Tournament in San Diego, California, on December 27, 28, and 29, before returning home to open Grand Canyon Region action versus the Mohave Thunderbirds on January 2 in the Badger Dome.

The Flagstaff Eagles came in and flew past the Prescott Lady Badgers 74-42 in the Grand Canyon Region opener for both schools..
Flagstaff (7-3) came out and moved the ball effectively, getting some open looks and knocking down a lot of shots to jump on top 18-3.
Prescott just could not get going thanks in part of the smothering defense by the Eagles that limited the Lady Badgers to very few second chance opportunities.

Rayne Libis led the home team with 13 points. Bella Abt was held to eight and season leading scorer Addie Prisciandaro endured a lot of double teaming and was held to just five points.
Prescott falls to (5-5) and will enjoy a short break before they host the Lady Badger Winter Classic on December 29-30.
