VARSITY GIRLS BASKETBALL
The Prescott Lady Badgers erupted for 43 straight points to start the game and led 51-6 at the half, as they dominated the Cortez Colts 79-18 in the Badger Dome.

Addie Prisciandaro once again led the Lady Badgers in scoring with 22 points. Rylee Hobson came off the bench to score 18 points and had seven steals. Hobson said, “It is really cool to see how hard we have worked paying off. It was a lot of fun out there tonight, and everyone was able to be a part of it. We are getting better and growing more as a team.”

Prescott pretty much took the ball at will, taking advantage of 40 Cortez turnovers. The Lady Badgers got basket after basket and led 43-0 before the Colts got a shot to fall with just under three minutes left in the half.

The third quarter was the most competitive as the Colts scored ten, but the Lady Badgers pushed the lead to 73-16. A running clock for the final eight minutes made the quarter go extremely quick with ten of the twelve Prescott players getting into the scoring column.
Prescott (4-3) will travel to face Marcos De Niza tonight at 7pm. Cortez is (0-1).

VARSITY BOYS BASKETBALL
Uriah Tenette scored 38 points and Zane Gaul posted yet another double-double with 20 points and 17 rebounds, to propel the Prescott Badgers to a 72-61 win over the Cortez Colts in Phoenix.
Cortez jumped out on top 17-9 as the Badgers struggled early. Once Prescott got settled in they mounted a comeback, tying the game at 28, and taking a 32-30 lead. The game stayed close till the Badgers one point lead of 37-36 ballooned to twelve as Prescott pulled away in the final quarter.
The win improves the Badgers to (5-1) on the season. Cortez falls to (3-4). Prescott will host Marcos De Niza tonight in the Badger Dome at 7pm.
