The City of Prescott is conducting a community-wide survey, designed to identify clear priorities for use in strategic planning and budget setting.
The Open Survey, in which we seek public participation, started last week and will continue through November 21st.
This Open Survey is available on the City’s website. Go to the Prescott website and look for the link on the homepage, or go directly to ParticipatePrescott.com to learn more and take the survey beginning today.
Please note that earlier this month, 3,000 citizens were randomly selected to receive a mailed survey. That mail survey will be open for response, through November 21.
IMPORTANT: If you received a mailed survey, please complete THAT one, NOT the Open Survey which began last Monday.
Everyone who has not received the mailed survey should use the Open Survey, which is currently open for your participation.
We look forward to receiving as much feedback as possible from the Prescott community.

We had a great 2023 Veterans Day Parade last Saturday.
This year’s parade theme was “Honoring Our Desert Storm and Operation Iraqi Freedom/Operation Enduring Freedom Veterans…A New Generation of Warriors.”
I want to thank Arizona US Congressman Eli Crane, who joined us as the keynote speaker during the Opening Ceremony.
There were about 115 entries in this year’s parade, a new record!
I wish to take this opportunity to thank all those who worked to make this year’s Veterans Day Parade a success. Without our City staff and local volunteers, we would not be able to make this happen each year. And a special thank-you to our city Recreation Services Administrative Supervisor Michelle Stacey-Schroeder, who tirelessly organizes this event every year.

During the Council’s Study Session today at 1 PM, we will hear from staff regarding a recent City-Wide Speed and Traffic Study. Study Data will be provided along with recommendations and next steps. Implementation of these next steps will take place during future budget cycles and are yet to be determined.
As part of some of the highlights of Tuesday’s Voting meeting at 3 PM, Council will consider accepting a Federal Highway Safety Improvement Program Grant for more than one million dollars to construct a new traffic signal at the corner of Gail Gardner Way and Fair Street.
We will also vote to purchase the property in and around Glassford Hill, in partnership with the Town of Prescott Valley and Yavapai County.
We will take a vote on the sale and redevelopment of the old City Hall on Cortez Street. We will also vote on acquiring 61.43 acres of land for $850,000 near the Prescott Regional Airport from the Chino Valley Irrigation District.
