Central Arizona Fire and Medical Authority Moves to E-Keys for Rapid Access Systems

The Central Arizona Fire and Medical Authority (CAFMA) is dedicated to continuously enhancing public safety and ensuring the well-being of the community and its first responders. CAFMA is pleased to announce the roll-out of a new development in rapid access systems for secure residential and commercial buildings and
properties, the Knox Box E-Key.

The Knox Box systems in use prior to this roll-out required a physical key. By replacing traditional physical keys with an electronic system, it limits the risk of unauthorized duplication and enhances control over access, while still ensuring quick access in emergency situations.

CAFMA understands that eliminating barriers to safe and fast access during emergencies is crucial for patient care, the minimization of property damage, and the prevention of injuries to first responders. The Knox Box E-Key is a testament to the agency’s commitment to these principles.

“We are glad to introduce the e-key to our community. It’s a leap forward in emergency access technology and we believe it will play a key role in safeguarding our homes, schools, and businesses,” said Darrell Tirpak, CAFMA Fire Marshal.

If you require an updated Knox Box, please visit https://www.knoxbox.com/. For more information regarding Knox Boxes and/or the new e-key systems, please contact the CAFMA Administration office at 928-772-7711.
