Yavapai County Preparedness Team – Preparing for Civil War

Jim Arroyo. president of the YCPT, discusses how to prepare for civil war. He details the need for building relationships with your neighbors, and those you can trust, planting Victory Gardens, getting communication equipment (such as ham radios), and many other necessary items. Stockpiling vitamins is also important.

Jim mentions Lt. Col. Steve Murray and his videos, and the Civil Defense Manual.

  1. CIVIL UNREST, CIVIL WAR, COMMUNICATIONS, DEFENDING ONE’S PROPERTY, LEADERSHIP, PLANNING, PREPARATIONS, SCENARIOS, SPHERE OF INFLUENCE, TEAMWORK, YAVAPAI COUNTY PREPAREDNESS TEAM, YCPT – Really Jim???? Who’s coming for you??? I’ve lived in the Verde Valley for years and I’m still waiting to see all of these bad people you seem to be so very afraid of. I’m much more afraid of you and more specifically the fear you spread around our community. I’m all for being prepared. Let’s just be honest and focus on the real threats to our community, like flooding and wild fires, ensuring no family goes to bed hungry, affordable housing, teacher shortages, just a few examples. I encourage you and your fellow oath keepers to devout your time, money and energy to positive contributions our community. Stop living in fear man. Life’s too short.

    1. Im sorry, where did you say you lived? When the gov of New Mexico puts a ban on guns and says the constitution is not fixed, when BLM and Antifia groups can loot and pillage our country with no consequences, I’d say we are already in a civil war…inflation is going to breed hunger which breeds ‘ I’m going to take what you’ve prepared for your family and take it as mine’…I’ll be damned if I’m not going to protect my property!

    2. I agree with you Todd, the survivalist movement has been around since the 70’s that I know of. Likely before that, constantly sensationalizing world events, comparing the US to third world countries, yet nothing ever happens decade after decade, generation after generation. All that energy wasted. Had it been directed to so many other issues they could have made a big difference.

    3. stick your head deeper in that hole in the ground or where ever you have it stuck and remember your words when you need help when it happens. you will be on your own.

    4. people are going to bed hungry every night because of the corrupt government we have, and I include ALL of the them.
preparing is not living in fear, it’s protecting your family, cause when it eventually hits the fan, food and water will be impossible to get.
I like your idea, I do. but I’m a realist and what’s happening in the world and this country today, is NOT good.
      1. our country is run by and controlled by the federal reserve oligarchs.
      2. we are on the verge of nuclear war.
      3. our dollar is tanking and our supposed allies are not our friends.
      4. the border is wide open and there are at least 150 known terrorists from all over the world already here . I think the number is far more and they are probably wiring this country up for a major infrastructure attack.
      5. the government is now weaponized against its own people.
      6. last but NOT least, they will keep trying to disarm us with their false flag planned shootings!
you can call me a conspiracy theorist if you like.
but just remember this …. the ONLY conspiracy is thinking there are none.

    5. Something tells me Todd might be a Democrat…. Not sure what’s making me so sure but yeah I think I’d go all in on that one lol

  2. Well Todd, I’m willing to bet that when the next “Plandemic” is announced you’ll put your mask on and run down and get your MRNA vaccine. We’ve already seen the fear tactics of the left and a lot of people are still afraid. Civil war actually could be a real threat in the coming years. A growing number of people are tired of an overreaching government that tells them what kind of stove they can buy, what kind of car they should drive and how it purposely is driving up prices. I moved here from Montana after 30 years and have dealt with wildfires and flooding. Common sense sense should tell you that you fireproof your house and that pretty as it is, you don’t build in the trees. Also, you don’t build in a floodplain. You should be encouraging selective logging on state and federal lands to mitigate fires. As for the teacher shortage, the high prices here keep out the new teachers. Thank California and the federal government for that. Finally, I think it’s pretty elitist to publicly accuse a man of being an Oath Keeper. You ARE right about one thing, life is too short to live in fear.

  3. Todd. are you paying attention to what is going on in the U.S.? it’s a lot more than floods and fire . you must be a Democrat to turn a blind eye while our country is being destroyed and our freedoms being taking away. stick your head in the sand and we will fight for you, your welcome.

  4. Why is everyone scared to say MILITIA? Citizen militias as the UNORGANIZED militia are codified into every states laws!

Google “Arizona Revised Standards (ARS) 26, unorganized militia.

  5. I have a preparedness box in my home, and I rotate stock every 6 months and give the unneeded food items to our local food bank just before expiration. I agree with Todd’s and Peaceful Person’s comments. Being prepared is good, sowing unnecessary and potentially harmful fear is not appropriate for community health. Being good neighbors helps build community.

  6. Me again, great feedback, good dialogue, all very respectful posts, thank you. One more data point on again why I’m not real concerned of civil unrest in the Verde Valley. My wife and I attended concert in the park at Clarksdale on Sat. Great evening, perfect weather, the band was rocking, kids running around the grass, people of all ages dancing, some lucky winner won over $1200 in a raffle! What I didn’t see were extremists, terrorists, looters, or anyone who did not have big smile on their face. The square was packed, 400+ people, most I’d ever seen at the park in the dozen times I’d been there before. I also noticed ZERO police presence, they were likely on Main street away from where I was sitting. Think about that? No way is that possible in Phoenix or any other city with 100K+ population. 400+ can gather without fear, without security, without police protection, coming together as a community to enjoy free music. What a country! Prepare for whatever keeps you up at night but please don’t ever let unfounded fears of civil unrest stop you from enjoying what we have!

  7. Ok, ummmm am I supposed to create a sense of community with my neighbors as he said and was the first thing he talked about or am I supposed to fear them and prepare to blast em the second they trip onto my side of the property line? I’m confused,….. u know what just to be on the safe side I’ll go with the latter…. Good luck Grandma (who lives next door) you are not gonna get me …Lolol
