After a thrilling road win over Bradshaw Mountain on Tuesday, the Prescott Badgers could not pull off the season sweep over their rivals, in an extra inning 11-6 loss at home.
Bradshaw Mountain took a 1-0 lead in the top of the first off of RJ Parra. Former Badger Eliza Legge started for the Bears and Prescott jumped on her for three runs in the bottom of the first. The Badgers added a run in the third when Gracie Pereira doubled in Kennedy Carr. The Badgers added one more in the fourth, chasing Legge, when Parra doubled in Sydney Krahulik.

Yasmine Bernal came in and threw the next four plus innings, allowing just one unearned run, on two hits, with four strikeouts and a walk, to finish the game, and pick up the win.
The Bears, (9-2) in the GCR and (12-5) overall, came back to tie the game at five in the top of the sixth. Prescott (7-5) and (10-11), took a 6-5 lead in the bottom of the inning, but Bradshaw once again scored a run to tie the game, sending it into extra innings. A five run outburst in the extra frame ended up being the difference.

Looking forward to the playoffs beginning next week, the Badgers are ranked #22 while Bradshaw Mountain is at #7. Other GCR teams in the playoff picture are #8 Flagstaff, and Coconino #19.

The Badgers fell for the third straight time to close out the regular season with an 11-0 loss in Prescott Valley to the Bradshaw Mountain Bears.
Prescott could only muster up two hits against Bear’s starter Josh Khazaal, who picked up the win allowing just two hits and striking out 11 Badgers. Paul Fernow started for Prescott and got roughed up for seven runs, three earned, four hits, three walks, and a strikeout. Lukas Barrett did also giving up four earned runs, a hit, and five walks. Jack Burton threw an inning allowing nothing and picking up a strikeout.
Elias Avila scored three times with two hits, one a double and two RBIs. Dalton Irwin scored twice on pair of hits and two RBIs. Adrian Sanderford and Ryan Elliot each had a single for the Badgers.
Prescott sits at #22 in the AIA Division 4 rankings, while Bradshaw Mountain is at #7. Other GCR teams rankings are in the playoff picture are Flagstaff #8, and Coconino #19. Playoffs will be announced Tuesday after the final regular season games are played on Monday.
