The local chapter of Yavapai County’s Conservatives for a Constitutional Republic (ConCR) has announced that Ms. Rachel Alexander, the founder and editor of Intellectual Conservatives, will speak at their upcoming monthly meeting, this Saturday, April 22nd, in Chino Valley. The meeting is free and open to the public but seating is limited. Those wishing to attend are asked to RSVP.
Rachel Alexander is a former attorney and long-time conservative activist, who now writes for the Arizona Sun Times, and is a regular contributor to Townhall, WIND, and other publications of conservative thought and opinion. She frequently appears on TV and news radio as a conservative commentator, and is the former host of a radio show on 960 KKNT in Phoenix and later on UStream. She is a contributor to “The Right to Believe”, a book about religious liberty from the Christian Post.
Ms. Alexander describes herself as a “recovering attorney”, who has served as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Arizona, a corporate attorney for Go Daddy Software, and a Deputy County Attorney for the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office, under Andrew Thomas, where she worked in the area of elections law and served as a Special Assistant to Mr. Thomas.
In 2012 Ms. Alexander along with then Maricopa County Attorney Andrew Thomas were ensnared in what their defenders believe to be one of the most dishonorable chapters in the history of the Arizona Bar Association, when she and Mr. Thomas were subject to politically inspired disciplinary proceedings by the office of Bar Counsel. Ms. Alexander’s talk will review the circumstances surrounding these events and their continuing relevance to the abuses in our political and judicial systems going on today.
The Yavapai County Chapter of Conservatives for a Constitutional Republic is a group of conservative activists dedicated to defending and promoting the values of representative government as set forth in the United States Constitution. They are a private organization and not directly affiliated with a political party. However, most members are registered Republicans or conservative leaning Independents who are civically engaged or are current or former elected officials or candidates for office.
ConCR meets monthly at the Bible Baptist Church, 3490 N State Road 89, in Chino Valley. Recent speakers include CD2 Congressman Eli Crane, Congressmen Paul Gosar and Andy Biggs, State Senator Wendy Rogers, Sheriff David Rhodes, and many other prominent conservative figures and candidates for office.
ConCR is a membership organization. However, in the interest of informing voters about important issues and candidates, the appearances of guest speakers of high public interest are open to the public. All those wishing to meet Ms. Rachel Alexander and hear about the inner workings of the State Bar Association’s office of Bar Counsel are cordially invited to attend. Doors open at 10:45Am. The meeting will begin promptly at 11:15AM. RSVP’s are requested and should be addressed to concr2018@gmail.com.
