Arizona Freedom Caucus Blasts Maricopa County Election Officials for Blatant Violations of the Law, Demands Resignations

In response to Maricopa County’s blatant violations of election laws, the Arizona Freedom Caucus has released the following statement:

The Maricopa County Board of Supervisors, including Chairman Gates, and Recorder Richie have utterly, and embarrassingly, failed the people. They have not merely failed Maricopa County, they have failed the entire state of Arizona. On Saturday, the Attorney General’s office demanded a response to vast evidence that they have grossly broken the law. They have yet to justify their lawlessness. These officials in Maricopa County have utterly disgraced their office, destroyed all faith in our electoral process, and shown that the only true solution is for them to resign in shame.

Arizona Freedom Caucus Chairman Jake Hoffman said the following:

“After taking an absurd and unnecessary amount of time to count ballots, we are now finding out that Maricopa County election officials may not merely be incompetent but may also be criminals. These allegations could quite reasonably lead someone to believe that this incompetence, which has prevented us from knowing the outcomes of our elections for nearly two weeks, is simply a tool for corrupt politicians to rig elections in their favor.”

The Arizona Freedom Caucus demands the resignation of Chairman Gates, Recorder Richie, and everyone involved in the election process. When someone fails at their job, they often find themselves fired; that is the solution right now. The health of our Republic requires that these incompetent, alleged criminals leave office.
