The Prescott Roadrunners opened their home stand with a 10-6 loss to the San Francisco Seals at Prescott High School last night. The Northern Arizona League is presenting Summer Collegiate Baseball with 12 home games over the course of the next three weeks.
Three former Prescott Badgers are playing on this years team so far. Jake Schulz and Slater Krupnick, PHS class of 2019, and Jacob Police, PHS class of 20, who are playing college ball, are here working on keeping their skill levels in check. Schulz is tearing it up right now with a .538 batting average that included an RBI triple in the third inning of last night’s contest.
The Seals took a 3-0 lead before Prescott put a pair on the board in their half of the third. San Francisco added three more to go up 6-2 in the fourth. The Roadrunners would close the gap, but were never able to catch the Seals.
The Roadrunners will host three teams that started with the San Francisco Seals last night. The two teams will face each other three more games at Prescott High School starting tonight at 6pm. Games will be played Saturday 4pm and on the Fourth of July afternoon. The Bay Area Force will come to town next weekend for a four game series starting on Thursday, July 8 at 6pm, and will play Friday at 6pm, along with Saturday and Sunday.
The final home series will be against the White Mountain Hawks. Games will be on Thursday, July 15 through Sunday, July 18. The Thursday and Friday games are also at 6pm.
