On June 3rd, 2021 the Prescott Police Department, Prescott Valley Police Department, Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office and Chino Valley Police Department partnered together to conduct a traffic enforcement detail in The Town of Chino Valley and surrounding area.
This 4-hour detail resulted in 54 traffic stops, 12 speed citations, 1 misdemeanor speed citation, 9 seat belt citations, and 21 other citations.
This cooperative detail was made possible with funding provided by The Arizona Governor’s Office of Highway Safety. The Arizona Governor’s Office of Highway Safety provides overtime funding to law enforcement agencies in an effort to target speed reduction, decrease impaired driving, increase seat belt and child safety seat usage as well as motorcycle safety awareness and driver distractions that cause traffic fatalities and injuries on our streets and highways.
Chino Valley Police Department would like to thank the other agencies involved in this detail and remind drivers to obey traffic laws, wear your seatbelt, do not drink and drive, and do not drive distracted.
