Sparklight® Begins Network Upgrades in Prescott Valley, Paving the Way for Multi-Gig Internet

Building on more than $50 million invested in the Prescott Valley region over the past three years, Sparklight® is beginning the next phase of network enhancements that will prepare customers for faster speed options, including Multi-Gig internet, while supporting the community’s growing connectivity needs.

The project includes installing new equipment and upgrading key network infrastructure to expand network capacity, enhance network performance and support the growing number of connected devices in customers’ homes.

Work will take place across Prescott Valley from late August through the end of November on a neighborhood-by-neighborhood basis. Crews will typically work between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m., with the goal of completing upgrades in each area within one day.

Customers may experience temporary service interruptions while work is underway in their neighborhoods. Sparklight technicians and contractors may need access to network equipment and utility locations on private property. If access through a customer’s yard is required, a door tag will be left at the home with additional information.

“Our customers are connecting more devices and using more bandwidth than ever before,” said Jay Macleod, Senior Regional Director, Southwest, Sparklight. “These network enhancements expand capacity and ensure we’re well positioned to meet those growing demands while bringing Multi-Gig internet to Prescott Valley.”

Customers with questions about these upgrades can call 877-692-2253 Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m.
