Arizona Friends of Foster Children Foundation (AFFCF) is inviting Arizona’s golf community to tee up for a cause at its Second Annual Friends of Foster Children Charity Golf Tournament on Monday, Sept. 14, at The Club at Prescott Lakes in Prescott. The event will bring together golfers from across the state to raise critical funds supporting children and youth in Arizona’s foster care system. Located at 311 E. Smoke Tree Lane, the event will bring together golfers from across the state for a day of friendly competition while raising critical funds to support children and youth in Arizona’s foster care system.
“Every child deserves the chance to dream big and have the support to reach their full potential,” said Amber Cordoba, executive director of Arizona Friends of Foster Children Foundation. “This tournament is about creating opportunities that can change the course of a young person’s life. We’re grateful to everyone who chooses to stand alongside Arizona’s foster youth by participating, sponsoring or donating.”
Registration, breakfast and the driving range open at 7 a.m., followed by a 9 a.m. shotgun start. The day concludes with a luncheon and awards ceremony where scramble winners will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Participants can register individually for $200 or as a foursome for $700, with registration including breakfast, lunch and a swag bag.
Returning this year is the popular Hole-in-One Challenge, where golfers will have the opportunity to win a brand-new vehicle, courtesy of Casa Auto Group, the tournament’s Hole-in-One sponsor. The excitement is even greater after one lucky participant sank the winning shot and drove away with the grand prize during last year’s inaugural tournament. Guests can also participate in exciting raffle drawings and bid on exclusive silent auction items throughout the event. Community members who are unable to attend in person can still support AFFCF by participating in an online raffle basket two weeks before the event.

Founded in Prescott more than 40 years ago, Arizona Friends of Foster Children Foundation began with a simple but powerful act of generosity, helping fund flute lessons for a child in foster care who otherwise would not have had the opportunity to participate. What started as one community rallying around one child’s dream has grown into a statewide organization serving thousands of children and youth each year.
