The Granite Mountain Interagency Hotshot Crew Learning and Tribute Center invites the community to join in remembering and honoring the 19 fallen Granite Mountain Hotshots on Monday, June 29, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. Immediately following this moving Tribute to the 19, the Learning & Tribute Center will celebrate its 8th birthday and all are invited to stay for this.
The event will open with a performance by the Central Arizona Pipe and Drum Corps, followed by the ringing of the Bell and a reading of the names of each of the 19 Hotshots. Remarks will be provided by Center Board Chair John Marsh, Prescott Fire Chief Holger Durre, and other dignitaries. All are welcome to attend.
The GMIHC Learning and Tribute Center honors the 19 Granite Mountain Hotshots who tragically perished while battling the Yarnell Hill Fire on June 30, 2013. It preserves and displays the thousands of items that were placed on the Station 7 memorial fence in the days and weeks following the tragedy and serves as an educational resource on wildland firefighting.
“GMHIC Learning and Tribute Center serves as a powerful reminder of the sacrifice made by these brave men and the importance of educating future generations about wildland firefighting,” said Anji Rude, marketing director for Pine Ridge Marketplace. “We are honored to be home to the center, and we encourage everyone in the community to join us as we honor their memory and celebrate eight years of preserving their story.”
The Granite Mountain Interagency Hotshot Crew Learning and Tribute Center is located in the Pine Ridge Marketplace, 3250 Gateway Blvd., Prescott, AZ, near Dillard’s.
