Resources including air attack, helicopter, type 2 hand crew and miscellaneous overhead. are responding to the Antelope Fire currently estimated at 25 acres with structures threatened. The fire is 2 miles southeast of Mayer.
The Department of Forestry and Fire Management (DFFM) is in command of the fire and responding alongside the Mayer Fire Department and Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office. The Yavapai County Emergency Management office is evaluating if evacuations are necessary.
The public is asked to avoid the area and expect impacts to State Route 69. Visit az511.gov for the most up to date road conditions.
