The Central Arizona Fire and Medical Authority (CAFMA) is proud to announce that Engineer-Paramedic Jace Hall has been named the Northern Arizona Emergency Medical Care Technician (EMCT) of the Year. Presented by the Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS) and the Northern Arizona Emergency Medical Services Council (NAEMS), this prestigious award recognizes Hall’s commitment to exceptional emergency medical care and service to Arizona’s residents and visitors. The honor is awarded across Northern Arizona, a region encompassing Yavapai, Coconino, Navajo, and Apache counties, making this a significant achievement among emergency medical professionals in the region.
Throughout his career, Engineer Hall has demonstrated exceptional expertise in emergency medical services, a strong commitment to professional excellence, and a passion for education and training. Known by many colleagues as “Mr. Customer Service,” Hall has built a reputation for treating every community member with respect and compassion. His calm demeanor and clinical knowledge have strengthened both CAFMA and the communities it serves.
Key factors contributing to Engineer Hall’s selection for EMCT of the Year include:
Leadership: As an EMS Specialist, Engineer Hall plays a vital role in training and mentoring firefighters and emergency medical personnel throughout the region. He serves as a lead instructor for EMS training days, EMT refreshers, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and run reviews, helping ensure current and future responders are prepared to provide the highest level of patient care.
Community Outreach and Education: Deeply committed to community outreach and public education, Engineer Hall has taught CPR courses, babysitting certification classes, and home safety programs aimed at reducing injuries and improving emergency preparedness. He has also contributed to public safety campaigns, training videos, public service announcements, and other educational media initiatives while continually pursuing advanced certifications to enhance patient care and emergency response.
Meritorious Service Awards: Engineer Hall has been recognized throughout his career for customer service, leadership, and lifesaving actions in critical situations. His professionalism and commitment to compassionate patient care earned him recognition as the 2023 Prescott Elks Lodge No. 330 CAFMA Firefighter of the Year.
CAFMA Fire Chief John Feddema commended Engineer Hall for his impact, stating, “Jace exemplifies the professionalism that defines our organization. Whether caring for patients, mentoring firefighters and paramedics, or educating the public on lifesaving skills, he consistently leads with humility and excellence. We are proud of this well-deserved recognition and grateful to ADHS and NAEMS for honoring his contributions.”
CAFMA EMS Chief Doug Niemynski praised Hall’s dedication to both patient care and professional development, stating, “Jace’s love for emergency medicine and dedication to teaching others strengthen our entire organization. He leads by example and makes those around him better.”
Engineer Hall is the second CAFMA paramedic to receive this distinguished honor since 2024, when Engineer-Paramedic Russ Smith was also recognized as EMCT of the Year. This continued recognition reflects CAFMA’s ongoing commitment to excellence in emergency medical services.
Engineer Hall’s selection as Northern Arizona Emergency Medical Care Technician of the Year reflects a career defined by service and a genuine desire to help others. Through his commitment to high-quality patient care, community education, and the development of future responders, he has made a lasting impact on countless lives. CAFMA celebrates this achievement and extends its sincere congratulations to Engineer-Paramedic Hall and his family on this well-deserved honor.
