A suspect related to a homicide incident that took place in Brawley, California on February 8, 2026, and fled to Prescott was located and arrested on March 4, 2026.
Through collaborative efforts with the Brawley Police Department, the United States Marshals Service and the Prescott Police Department’s Investigation’s Bureau, Nathan Matthew Garnica was located at a residence in the 800 block of Valley Street. The United States Marshals Service along with two detectives from the Prescott Police Department, who are assigned to the United States Marshals Service task force, were able to take Garnica into custody without incident. Garnica was booked into the Yavapai County Jail where he awaits extradition to Imperial County, California.
