On December 29, 2025, around 2 pm, a two-vehicle crash occurred at the intersection of State Route 89A and Coyote Springs Road. The crash involved a pickup truck versus a motorcycle. Both the motorcycle rider and passenger were wearing helmets at the time of the crash. The rider, a 59-year-old Prescott Valley resident, did not survive the injuries sustained from the crash and was pronounced dead at a local hospital. His passenger was flown to a Phoenix-area hospital, where she remains in critical condition. There was no indication of impairment for the driver of the truck.
The Prescott Valley Police Department would like to offer condolences to all involved and their families and friends.
We urge all drivers to be aware of motorcycles that may be driving on the roadway. Highway safety is everyone’s responsibility.
