On Saturday, December 20, 2025, the Prescott, Prescott Valley, and Chino Valley Police Departments joined the Arizona Department of Public Safety and the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office to conduct a DUI enforcement detail as part of the Tri-City DUI Task Force. The operation was supported through grant funding and a continued partnership with the Arizona Governor’s Office of Highway Safety.
During the detail, officers made 82 traffic stops and arrested nine impaired drivers. One arrest involved an aggravated felony DUI related to a hit-and-run collision. Another driver was arrested for a Super Extreme DUI, with a blood alcohol concentration of 0.230, more than twice the legal limit.
These arrests highlight the real danger impaired drivers pose, particularly during the holiday season. The Tri-City DUI Task Force remains committed to high-visibility, zero tolerance DUI enforcement to keep our roadways safe.
If you plan to celebrate, plan ahead. Use a rideshare, a taxi, or designate a sober driver. One decision can make the difference between getting home safely or changing lives forever.
