The City of Prescott would like to share an update regarding an item previously scheduled for this week’s City Council Study Session.
At the request of OJB FC (the Prescott Youth Soccer Club), the agenda item proposing to name the new soccer field after Michael Pantalione, Hall of Fame soccer coach, has been removed.
After conversations with members of the community, OJB FC has decided not to move forward with the naming request, choosing instead to honor Chief Ken Lindley and Family at both the Park and the Field. OJB FC will honor Mr. Pantalione, through an alternative approach.
The City respects and supports OJB FC’s thoughtful and heartfelt decision as well as their commitment to honoring both the Lindley Family and Coach Pantalione.
We appreciate the engagement of all community members who participated in these discussions.
