The Elks Performing Arts Center Presents An Acoustic Tribute to Merle Haggard, Saturday, November 8

Prescott’s own Sky “Daddy” Conwell and George Janack pay tribute to traditional Country Music icon Merle Haggard in this intimate one-of-a-kind show.  George and Sky share a love of Haggard and his music and have been playing together for decades in various bands and projects.  These two fabulous acoustic guitarists interpret some of Haggard’s most well known songs including “Silver Wing”, “Big City”, “The Bottle Let Me Down”, “Mama Tried”… and many more.

Merle Haggard was a true icon of the outlaw country movement. A troubled youngster who would grow up to do a stint in San Quentin, his rebellious nature would come through the lyrics and tones of his songs.

Beer, wine and non-alcoholic beverages and snacks will be available for purchase.  All concession sales support the Elks Outreach and Scholarship programs.

The event will be at the Crystal Hall, on the Third Floor of the Elks Performing Arts Center, Saturday, November 8, at 7pm.
