Local Prescott Photographer Selected for National Exhibition in Australia

Local photographer David Puglia has been selected to exhibit his portfolio “Language Games” at the prestigious Head On Photography Festival, Australia’s largest annual photography showcase featuring artists from around the world. Puglia’s work will be on display at the No Vacancy Gallery in Melbourne, Australia, from November 17–30, 2025.

Puglia’s series, “Language Games,” explores the intersection of philosophy and visual art through diptych photographs that invite viewers to reflect on perception, meaning, and the structure of language. The project draws inspiration from the philosophical writings of Ludwig Wittgenstein, reinterpreted through visual form and artistic composition.

The Head On Festival, held annually across major Australian cities, celebrates diverse photographic perspectives and emerging international talent. Being selected for the Open Program marks a significant achievement for artists whose work demonstrates both technical mastery and conceptual depth.

Puglia’s exhibition can be previewed online:

“I’m honored to represent Prescott and share this work internationally,” said Puglia. “Language Games is about how we see and describe the world — and how photography can both reveal and challenge those boundaries.”
