About the Lecture:
As we mark 80 years since the end of World War II, this special program invites the community to reflect on the global journey toward peace and the lasting impact of those who served. This 80th anniversary program offers a global yet personal look at the war’s closing chapters in Europe, the Pacific, and North Africa, while examining the challenges faced by veterans as they returned to civilian life.
In this talk, Robin LaCorte explores the final chapters of the war in Europe, the Pacific, and North Africa, while honoring the experiences of local veterans who returned home to help shape the future of Arizona. Their stories remind us that history lives on-not only in textbooks, but in the memories of our neighbors, families, and friends.
Tickets are $10 for members and $15 for non-members, with proceeds supporting Sharlot Hall Museum’s preservation efforts. Seats are limited, so reserve yours today!
