The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at Yavapai College invites the community to an engaging Open House on Wednesday, August 13, from 2 – 3 p.m. at YC’s Prescott Valley Center, 3800 N Glassford Hill Road.
This free Open House is an opportunity for adults aged 50 and better to test-drive the OLLI program, meet its facilitators, discover upcoming classes, and OLLI’s offerings in Prescott Valley.
OLLI’s Fall Term, which commences August 27, features a robust lineup of engaging, non-credit classes designed to stimulate the mind and spark new friendships. Upcoming Prescott Valley classes will include The Karma of Forgiveness, Wildfire – Quad-City Risk, Basic Conversational Spanish III, Acting for Everyone, Alfred Hitchcock Presents, Behind the Scenes, Biographies in an Hour, TED Talks, 10 Minute Originals, The MET, When We Left Earth – Mercury, Gemini, Apollo, Thinking Outside the Box, Clubs Rule, Member Welcome, and Some of the Greatest Stories of World War II.
All classes are presented by volunteer facilitators who are members of OLLI.
The OLLI program is also featuring a free, open-to-the-public talk with Gilbert Davidson, Prescott Valley Town Manager, on Prescott Valley Forward – Balancing Conservation & Economic Growth to ensure a High Quality of Life on Wednesday, September 10, at 1 p.m. Registration is required as seating is limited.
Whether you’re a returning member or new to OLLI, the Open House is a perfect chance to ask questions, meet the team, and register for fall classes in person.
