Genasys Protect:
Knowing your evacuation zone is crucial for staying safe during emergencies. Chino Valley residents can use Genasys Protect to identify their evacuation zones quickly and easily. Visit protect.genasys.com and enter your address to find out your zone ID. There is no login or password needed! Keep your zone somewhere safe and easily accessible. The Chino Valley Police Department will soon have magnets available to write your zone on. The faster you know your zone, the quicker you can respond to an evacuation. Don’t wait—find your zone today! You can also download the FREE Genasys Protect app from the App Store or Google Play for iPhone, Android, and Google phones. With the mobile app, you can follow a zone or turn on your location to get notified about danger or zone changes wherever you are. Genasys Protect allows secure, real-time collaboration between agencies during emergencies, reducing complexity and ensuring faster decision-making. Emergencies are unpredictable. Having a go-bag ready means you don’t waste time grabbing things during a crisis. Follow the 5P’s of evacuation when it comes to packing your go bag: People, Pets, Prescriptions, Important Papers, and Priceless Items!
Ensure your emergency kit includes essential items such as Important documents, medications and first aid supplies, water and non-perishable foods, flashlights and extra batteries, clothes and personal hygiene items, and pet supplies. Customize your kit to fit your family’s specific needs.
Ready Set Go:
Ready, Set Go is Arizona’s all-hazards evacuation program. Ready means prepare now. Register for local emergency alerts, have a plan, and build an emergency kit. Set means to be alert – Be packed up and ready to go. Monitor news and local official sources and consider relocating to a safer area. Go means Evacuate! Follow instructions from emergency personnel, stay on designated evacuation routes, and avoid closed areas. Yavapai County/Chino Valley is ALWAYS on Ready. You will ONLY see notifications for SET and GO.
