The Chino Valley Police Department is pleased to announce it has been awarded a grant from the Arizona Governor’s Office of Highway Safety for the federal fiscal year 2025. This valuable partnership provides crucial funding to support impaired driving and traffic enforcement, helping to enhance the safety of our community.
The $24,554.00 grant will allow the department to purchase essential equipment, including five radar units with bundles, one lidar (Light Detection and Ranging) unit with a bundle, and a motorcycle holster to mount the lidar unit on our police motorcycle. Additionally, the grant will fund overtime for officers to conduct impaired driving and speed enforcement operations throughout the year.
This funding will significantly strengthen the Chino Valley Police Department’s efforts to reduce impaired driving, prevent traffic-related accidents, and improve overall traffic safety. Through targeted enforcement and ongoing community engagement, we are committed to maintaining a safe and secure environment for all residents and visitors.
The Chino Valley Police Department is grateful to Director Torrez and the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety for their continued support for the safety of our roadways and citizens. This funding will enhance our ability to serve and protect the citizens of Chino Valley.
