Yavapai College invites you to see the emergent and the amazing at its 2024 Fall Juried Student Art Exhibition, November 22 through December 20 at YC’s Prescott Campus Gallery in the Jim & Linda Lee Performing Arts Center.

In 65 works – including paintings, drawings, printmaking, jewelry, ceramics, sculpture and lapidary – Yavapai College’s Art students cover the Prescott Gallery with a display of surprising thematic diversity and undeniable talent. The works were selected from a field of more than 150 submissions, honed by juror and Copper Mountain College Art professor Chloe Allred.

A painter, writer, and educator, Chloe Allred’s work has been featured in Orange Coast Magazine, Huffington Post, USA Today, and the BBC. She is a contributing artist and writer for the book, We Believe You (published by Henry Holt in 2016); the cover artist for the poetry collection Preposition (published by Undercurrent in 2021); and a tenure-track art professor at Copper Mountain College in Joshua Tree.

In addition to her work on the exhibition, Allred will host an Art Talk at the Gallery on Wednesday, December 11, from 1 to 2 p.m., where she will discuss her own work and her experiences balancing art and career. The talk is free and will also be available on Zoom at: https://yavapai.zoom.us/s/91421447760
