The City of Prescott would like to invite you to come out and support the Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University Army and Airforce ROTC Cadets as they perform a 24-hour guard on the All Soldier’s Memorial on the Yavapai County Courthouse Plaza beginning at 6:00pm on Sunday, November 10, 2024 through 6:00pm on Monday, November 11, 2024. The event will kick-off with a Wreath Laying Ceremony at the memorial, starting at 5:30pm on November 10.
“These young men and women will perform a changing of the guard every half hour,” said Michelle Stacy-Schroeder, organizer of the Veterans Day Parade and festivities. “This tradition began several years ago, at the Flagpole on the Northern Arizona VA Health Care Campus in Prescott. The public is encouraged to come out and pay respects to all those who have served our Nation.”
The Ceremony and Guard Duty will take place on the west side of the Courthouse Plaza (Montezuma Street).
