Northern Arizona VA to Host POW/MIA Recognition Ceremony, September 20

POW/MIA Recognition Day is observed on the third Friday of September each year to remember servicemembers that were imprisoned while serving in combat, and those who remain missing. At present, approximately 83,000 Americans remain missing from World War II, the Korean War, Vietnam War, Cold War, the Gulf Wars, and other conflicts.

The Northern Arizona VA Health Care System (NAVAHCS) will pay tribute to all former American Prisoners of War and those still Missing in Action during a POW/MIA recognition ceremony on September 20 at the Bob Stump Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center.

WHO:       Anyone wishing to recognize POW/MIA Veterans.

WHAT:     One hour POW MIA ceremony with refreshments.

WHERE: Bob Stump VA Medical Center, 500 N. US HWY 89, Prescott – Main Flagpole

WHEN:   Friday, Sept. 20, 10 a.m. – 11 a.m., “rain or shine.”
