The City of Prescott, in conjunction with JARD Events, will host Prescott’s 4th – Freedom, Fun and Fireworks event on Thursday, July 4, 2024 at Watson Lake. The family-friendly, free event will begin at 1:00 pm, with fireworks expected to take place around 9:00 pm Here are important event details.
WHAT’S INCLUDED
There will be a variety of family-friendly activities, including live music, water slides, inflatables, games and activities, plus a beer garden (21 and over). There will also be food vendors with a variety of options available.
• Admission is free.
• Picnic style grass-seating
• First-come, first-served EZ-Up seating
• Fireworks
• This event will be CASH ONLY day of the event (ATM’s on-site).
• Gates will open at 12:45 pmfor entry into the event

Activity Zone pass (Water slides, inflatables, face-painting, etc.)
• VIP Experience
• Pre-paid reserved area for EZ-Ups (2-hour early entry and must provide your own EZ-Up).
• Camping spots can be reserved (2-night minimum, Wednesday, July 3 through Friday, July 5th
OTHER DETAILS
Picnic lunches are allowed. No outside liquid (including water) is allowed. There will be two (2) free hydration stations available for filling empty water bottles.
• No BBQs/ grills, no animals, no firearms, no outside fireworks.
• Lawn chairs and umbrellas for shade are welcomed, blankets encouraged.
• Please bring a flashlight to navigate after the fireworks show.

PARKING:
Parking is free
• Parking at Watson Lake is limited, and first come, first served. Ample handicap accessible spaces are available at the Watson Lake area. Once Watson Lake parking is full, overflow parking will be directed onto Hwy 89 within the closure area. Guests may exit their vehicles and enter the event, however all vehicles must be removed from the highway no later than 11 pm. All vehicles parked on the highway MUST exit south bound to Prescott Lakes Parkway.
• Free parking is available at Pioneer Park, with free shuttles running to the event, between 1:30 pm until 8:30 pm Shuttle service will resume back to Pioneer Park following the Fireworks show.
ROAD CLOSURE INFORMATION:
UPDATE – Due to water line break, State Route 89 is closed between Watson Lake and the Phippen Museum roundabout.
