The Dedication of the Granite Mountain Hotshots Memorial on the Yavapai County Courthouse Plaza will take place on Sunday, June 30, 2024 at 3:45 pm.
The City of Prescott and Prescott Fire Department will officially thank the committee that worked for over 10 years on the memorial statue which will forever honor our fallen heroes. There will be comments by Mayor Phil Goode, Yavapai County Board of Supervisors Chairman Craig Brown, John Marsh, the artist Deborah Fellows and a keynote by Prescott Fire Chief Holger Durre.
Following the ceremony, Yavapai County Courthouse bells will ring 19 times at 4:42 p.m. in honor of the fallen heroes. The commemoration will take place at the memorial site, on Cortez between Union and Goodwin.
