Free 6-week online workshop offers group support for caregivers of Veterans

Caring for a Veteran may require learning new skills and approaches as your care partner’s needs change. That may add to your busy schedule and leave you less time to attend to your own needs. Joining a 6-week Building Better Caregivers ®(BBC) online workshop offers you new techniques to improve your caregiving skills. You’ll also get support from other caregivers to reach your own goals.

“BBC allows me to learn and grow. I am never alone for I have people who can identify and share with me about being a caregiver. It is a tool I can use always. Thank you BBC.” – BBC Graduate

Join a small online group of caregivers who know what you’re going through. Trained leaders, who are caregiver peers, guide you in learning ways to better manage the challenges of caregiving.

Developed at Stanford University, the 6-week BBC online workshop is available to caregivers enrolled in the VA Caregiver Support Program.

To participate, you must be enrolled in either the Program of Comprehensive Assistance for Family Caregivers (PCAFC) or the Program of General Caregiver Support Services (PGCSS). For more on eligibility and enrollment, visit: caregiver.va.gov.
