Willow Creek Southbound Pavement Reconstruct and Overlay Project – Scheduled to Begin April 22

The City of Prescott and their contractor, Cactus Asphalt, are scheduled to start pavement repair work along Willow Creek Road from Pioneer Parkway to Commerce Drive. The project includes removing and replacing the asphalt pavement along the southbound, curbside lane of Willow Creek Road, between Pioneer Parkway and Commerce Drive. Utility covers are scheduled to be lowered the week of April 22, with milling and paving operations scheduled for the week of April 29. Following paving operations, utility covers will be adjusted to the final road grade throughout the week of May 13. This work is highly weather dependent and may need to be rescheduled due to inclement weather. Once complete, these improvements will extend pavement life and significantly improve the road quality for Prescott motorists.

A detailed notification door hanger will be delivered to those directly affected prior to these pavement repairs commencing. The notifications will include information regarding access, work hours and traffic impacts related to these operations.

To facilitate the removal of the old asphalt and allow the new asphalt to cool, access to driveways along this section of Willow Creek Road may be restricted and/or may require an alternate route. These restrictions will be coordinated on an individual basis with those affected. Additionally, the following conditions can be expected throughout the work zone: lane closures, reduced speeds, rough road conditions, loud noise and flagging operations. Motorists should anticipate delays, plan alternate routes or allocate extra time when traveling through the project corridor.
