The Town of Prescott Valley is excited to announce its annual free Neighborhood Clean-Up Day on Saturday, May 4, 2024, from 7AM to 2PM at a new location, the Waste Management Transfer Station located at 2600 N Lake Valley Road. The free event is aimed at keeping the town clean and safe for all residents, and it provides an opportunity for residents to dispose of unwanted items that cannot be collected curbside.
Residents are welcome to bring their unwanted items to the site, including stoves, dishwashers, other kitchen appliances, air conditioners, yard waste, tree trimmings, mattresses, furniture, and tires (limit 10). However, prohibited items include municipal solid waste, household wet trash, household recyclables, propane tanks, gas or diesel power equipment, liquids, hazardous items, medical waste, and ammunitions.
This year, the Town is implementing some changes to the event. Commercial dumping is not allowed, and only Prescott Valley residents with a voucher may participate. Vouchers will be enclosed in the April 2024 water/utility bill. Each resident is allowed one load, and debris cannot exceed a trailer 28 feet in length. Safety vests must also be worn by residents while operating in the dumping site. The Town will provide the vests.
The Prescott Valley Chamber of Commerce invites residents to join Team Up to Clean Up to help clean up the Town on Clean-Up Day. Participants will receive a shirt and free lunch. To join in, contact the Chamber at 928-772-8857 or visit www.pvchamber.org.
If you have a disability and need assistance during Neighborhood Clean-Up Day, please contact Neighborhood Services at 928-759-6010. For more information about Clean-Up Day, visit https://pv-azgov.info/cleanup.
Let’s work together to keep Prescott Valley clean and beautiful!
