Celebrating community and service at the Senior Referral Network event

The Senior Referral Network event once again filled the rooms and hallways of The Center, 1280 E. Rosser, Prescott as over 300 members of the local community turned out to network and mingle with local senior industry organizations at their sponsor tables while enjoying drinks and complimentary appetizers.

One highlight of the evening was the prestigious Hometown Halo award presented to Kathy Kent of , recognizing her decade plus of service and commitment connecting Northern Arizona seniors with the resources they need to be supported and healthy at home for as long as possible.

“Kathy’s unwavering dedication to serving seniors exemplifies the values we hold dear, and we are privileged to have her as part of our elder care community” said Cecelia Jernegan, director of Visiting Angels and co-founder of Senior Referral Network. Kelly Paradis of Good Samaritan Hospice shared a bio of Kathy’s work at NACOG-Aging, mentioning they serve 1600 plus seniors and have a waiting list of almost 500 more, yet are facing congressional budget cuts to their program this summer.

Kathy’s wish is for the community to reach out to their members of congress and share how important it is to keep this program funded. Kathy brought her team on stage and thanked the crowd for the flowers, plaque and the $500 check donated from Senior Referral Network and Circle of Life Alzheimer Homes, which she shared will be used to provide 50 meals for seniors.

The success of the event would not have been possible without the generous support of our volunteers, sponsors, steering committee, and board of directors, whose dedication and hard work ensured a seamless and memorable experience for all attendees. Additionally, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to The Center and Kand’s Catering for helping make the event a, serving seniors,  resounding success. Special thanks to event photographer, Adrienne Reynolds Photography, whose remarkable work continues to elevate our events with the photos she captures.

As we reflect on another incredible evening, we are reminded of the strength and generosity of our community, whose unwavering support enables us to continue our mission of serving seniors with compassion and dignity. Together, we celebrate not only the achievements of individuals like Kathy Kent but also the collective spirit that defines us as a community
