Update: On December 27th (Wednesday) we received a tip from a concerned citizen and along with other
investigative techniques we have identified and arrested the driver of the white truck. He was identified as 51-year-old Andrew Caroll of Prescott. He was booked into the Yavapai County Jail on felony charges related to leaving the scene of an injury accident and we also had an active warrant out for his arrest.
We would like to thank our local media outlets for their diligence in running with this incident and for our community for helping us identify this suspect. We could not have identified this suspect without our community working with us.
On December 22, 2023, at about 5:19 pm, an older model white truck struck a Fry’s Foodstore employee as she was pushing a cart back to the store while in the parking lot of 950 Fair Street. The grocery cart was hit by the vehicle and then it struck the female employee causing her to fall to the ground where she received a laceration to her head. The driver of the vehicle stopped and talked with the female then left without identifying himself.
The parking lot video system shows an older model single cab white truck with square headlights, square front end, black rims and a camper shell. The male is believed to be in his 60’s with a white beard and ponytail. He was wearing a black leather vest or jacket and a black leather cap on his head similar to motorcycle riding attire.
We need the public’s help in identifying the suspect and the vehicle involved in this incident. The still images from the video surveillance system are attached to this and are not very good quality.
