C and C Cyclery and Findlay Subaru Prescott Join Forces to “Pay it Forward” for Boys and Girls Club of Prescott Valley

A joint effort between C and C Cyclery and Findlay Subaru Prescott exemplifies the power of businesses coming together to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young individuals. The sponsors hope that the donation of 19 bicycles and helmets will inspire a new wave of enthusiasm for physical fitness and outdoor exploration within the Boys and Girls Club of Prescott Valley. The children will be receiving the gifts Friday, December 15, 2023 4:00 PM MST.

The generous donation, comprising of high-quality Marin bicycles and Lazer helmets provided by Findlay Subaru Prescott, coordinated, and assembled by C and C Cyclery and volunteers, aims to enhance the lives of young members at the Boys and Girls Club of Prescott Valley. Recognizing the importance of physical activity, and outdoor engagement in a child’s development, the sponsors believe that these bicycles will not only provide a source of joy during the holidays, but also promote an active and healthy lifestyle and needed transportation among the club’s participants.

Special thanks to C and C Cyclery for their “Pay it Forward” program. Mike Miranda, a BMX Hall of Fame inductee and Marin Bike Representative, who is also the Operator of the non-profit Wheelhouse BMX Track in Prescott Valley, for offering his bike building expertise to assemble the fleet. We appreciate Chris Manny, our Lazer helmet representative for supplying the safety gear. Recognizing Casey Hines and Mike Miranda in ensuring all assembled bicycles are built to specifications and safe for their future riders.

Jason Jenkins, General Manager at Findlay Subaru Prescott, expressed genuine excitement about the collaboration: “We’re thrilled to be part of initiatives that directly benefit our community, especially the younger generations. The joy these bicycles bring is a reflection of why we are dedicated to making a positive difference in our community.”

“The Boys and Girls Club of Prescott Valley plays a crucial role in shaping the future of our community by providing a safe and enriching environment for its members,” said Carmen Hines, Owner at C and C Cyclery. “We are thrilled to partner with Findlay Subaru Prescott in donating these bicycles, with the hope that they will not only serve as a means of recreation and transportation but also instill values of physical fitness and camaraderie among the young individuals involved.”

C and C Cyclery, a local cycling enthusiast’s haven, is excited to contribute to the initiative. “Paying it Forward” is near and dear to our hearts, we believe in the transformative power of bicycles to create positive experiences for children,” said Casey and Carmen Hines, Owners. “By teaming up with Findlay Subaru Prescott, and providing a means of healthy transportation, we aim to inspire a love for cycling and outdoor activities that will stay with these kids for a lifetime.”

The Boys and Girls Club of Prescott Valley expressed gratitude for the sponsorship, emphasizing the positive impact such contributions have on the community. “We are incredibly thankful for the generosity of C and C Cyclery and Findlay Subaru Prescott,” said Alex Heinemann, CEO at the club. “This donation will not only provide our members with a fun and exciting way to stay active but also reinforces the importance of community support in their lives.”

C and C  Cyclery is a locally owned and operated full-service bike shop in Prescott Valley, that is also in the process of obtaining a non-profit organization status with the intent to transform lives. In our community, there is a diverse group of individuals, including veterans, single parents, those rehabilitated from substance abuse, homeless, low-income, and disabled citizens, in need of reliable transportation.
