Chino Valley Unified School District Superintendent Submissions Have Closed

The deadline for candidates to submit a letter of interest for the Chino Valley Unified School District superintendent position closed at 5:00 pm on Thursday December 7, 2023, and the sole candidate was current CVUSD Assistant Superintendent Cindy Daniels.

Daniels has held her current position since 2008 and has been an educator for 35 years. Her previous positions include Assistant Superintendent and Principal with the Ash Fork Joint Unified School District, and English teacher with the Humboldt Unified School District, Prescott Valley, the Marana Unified School District, Tucson, and the Kingman Elementary School District, Kingman.

Daniels, who holds a Master of Educational Leadership degree from Northern Arizona University, also has many years’ experience as an Education Consultant and External Facilitator with school districts throughout the southwest and currently sits on the Board of Directors for the Chino Valley Education Foundation.

The next steps that will take place before the CVUSD Governing Board announces the new superintendent include:
December 12, 2023, 4:00 pm-            Classified Staff & Community Forum at Del Rio School cafeteria (open to the public).

December 13, 2023, 4:00 pm-            Certified Staff & Community Forum at Del Rio School cafeteria (open to the public).

December 18, 2023-                           Finalist in-person interview with the CVUSD Governing Board.

January 10, 2024-                               CVUSD Governing Board vote to approve the new superintendent.
