Del Rio Springs Vineyard, a vineyard and winery located approximately 25 miles north of Prescott AZ in the newly emerging wine grape area known as the “Prescott Highland” near the rural community of Paulden AZ, has won two awards in the worldwide Sommeliers Choice Awards. Our wines competed head-to-head with over 1200 wines from around the world. The 2019 Pinot Noir and 2021 Carménère wines both received Silver medals.
We are also proud that our first release of the 2020 Chardonnay, made from our five-year-old vines, also received a Bronze medal. This news should make Arizonians proud of the fact that we have a new cool climate grape region that is putting Arizona on the map as a respected world class wine producing area.
As a footnote, our 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon wine made from grapes sourced from our partner vineyard, Silver Concho Vineyard, located north of Kingman AZ also received a Silver medal award.
