The City of Prescott will host an open house for the new City Council Chambers on Thursday, March 9th from 12 pm to 2 pm at 201 N. Montezuma Street. Visitors will be guided to the third floor where the new state of the art Chambers are located. Staff will be available to answer questions about the new facilities.
City Clerk Sarah Siep said that this open house is scheduled to give the public a preview of the new facility in advance of the tentatively scheduled first meeting at 201 N. Montezuma Street.
“The first public meetings in the new chambers are tentatively set for March 14th”, said Siep. “Assuming everything goes smoothly, we will begin hosting all Boards and Commissions meetings at the new location beginning in April.”
She advised that interested citizens should check the location of their public meeting prior to attending, as the City transitions to the new facility. Board and Commission agendas are available for review at least 48 hours prior to the meeting on the City website. The address of the location is posted on the top of public agendas.
