Sedona Film Festival Featuring Star-Studded Guest List Including Judd Hirsch, Jacqueline Bisset, Karen Allen, Tim Daly

WHAT

  • Complementing the 150-plus films to be screened at the 29thannual Sedona International Film Festival (Feb. 18-26), is a star-studded guest list.
  • Guest stars will be on hand for the screening of their individual and follow-up question-and-answer sessions films as well as for interviews in the Festival Media Room at the Yavapai College campus in Sedona, 4215 Arts Village Drive, Sedona.

WHO/WHEN

Two-time Oscar-nominated Swedish director Lasse Hallström. His newest film, Hilma, explores the enigmatic life of Swedish artist and mystic Hilma af Klint, now recognized as one of the world’s first abstract artists. The film stars Hallström’s daughter, Tora, and his wife, Oscar nominee Lena Olin. Saturday, Feb, 18, 7 p.m., Sedona Performing Arts Center (SPAC).

Jacqueline Bisset. She will receive the 2023 Lifetime Achievement Award. Her newest film,Loren & Rose, will screen Tuesday, Feb. 21 at SPAC. Her favorite personal film, The Sleepy Time Gal, will screen Wednesday, Feb. 22 at 10 a.m. at Harkins 1. She will be in the Media Room for a live-streaming interview on Tuesday, Feb. 21 at 11:30 a.m.

Karen Allen (Indiana Jones, White Irish Drinkers) will screen her latest film, A Stage of Twilight, Tuesday. Feb. 21 at 4 p.m. at SPAC. White Irish Drinkers, with Stephen Lang and Peter Riegert, who also will be at the festival, will screen Wednesday, Feb. 22 at 7 p.m. at SPAC. She will be in the Media Room for a live-streaming interview on Feb. 22 at noon.

Stephen Langand Peter Riegert will be in the Media Room on Wednesday, Feb. 22 at 4 p.m.

Judd Hirsch and Amy Smart will be on hand for the screening of their film, Rally Caps, Friday, Feb. 24 at 4 p.m. at SPAC. They will be in the Media Room Friday, Feb. 24 at 1 p.m.

Tim Daly will be on hand for the screening of his short film, All Through the Night, during the Shorts Program Block 3, Wednesday, Feb. 22 at 1 p.m. and Friday, Feb. 24 at 7 p.m. at Harkins 1.  He will be in the Media Room at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 23.

SCREENINGS

  • Films will be screened at the Festival-owned 99-seat Mary D. Fisher Theatre and the brand new 43-seat Alice Gill-Sheldon Theatre, which opened in mid-June, at 2030 W State Route 89A, the two largest theaters at the Harkins Theaters Sedona 6 at 2081 W. State Route 89A and at the Sedona Performing Arts Center (SPAC), 995 Upper Red Rock Loop.
