Road Work Causes Closures in Yavapai County – Ponderosa Park Road Improvement

The Yavapai County Public Works Department, working in conjunction with the Prescott National Forest and Asphalt Paving and Supply will resume road work on Ponderosa Park Road (C101) approximately 1.5 miles South of Prescott on February 14, 2022.

Construction will mandate the closure of Ponderosa Park Road from SR 89 to Forest Road (FR) 64.  Access for residents and Emergency personnel will be through Indian Creek Road (C102). Attached is a map of road closures and detour signs. The County will be continuously monitoring the condition of Indian Creek Road and other County maintained roads in the area to ensure a well-maintained driving surface of the entire detour route.

During construction, motorists are expected to respect and follow temporary traffic control measures which may include but not limited to temporary traffic signs and signals and flagging operations.
