How they got here
Salpointe Catholic seeded #3 beat #14 Deer Valley 5-0, #6 Mohave 7-1, and #2 Notre Dame Prep 3-0.
Prescott the #1 seed beat #16 Paradise Honors 5-0, #9 Lee Williams 4-1, and #4 Flagstaff 2-1 in overtime.
Notes: Prescott is led in scoring by Kari Kasun. Nicole Raiss is a close second. Both Kasun and Raiss are juniors. There are only five seniors on this years team. The five seniors playing in their final game are Indy Dimaano-Simmons, Tea Castro, Helen DeSoto, Kaylee Breen, and Grace West. Goal keeper Charlotte Osburn had a string of six consecutive shutouts come to an end when Flagstaff scored a goal in the semifinals. Osburn has given up only six goals all season.
The Badgers last loss was in February 22, 2020, to Catalina Foothills 1-0. Salpointe Catholic knocked the Badgers out of the playoffs in 2018 by a score of 5-0, and by 1-0 in 2019. The tie on the Lancers record was on the road against Catalina Foothills on February 12. Salpointe Catholic will remain a secret till game time, as the Lancers has no roster or stats available.
The Coaches: Paul Campuzano is (58-8-2) in his four years leading the Badgers. Kelly Pierce is (78-8-10) in five years at Salpointe Catholic, located in Tucson.
