Wrestling and Boys Soccer pick up Wins
Varsity Girls Basketball
In their second game in as many days with Coconino, the Prescott Lady Badgers came out to lead early, but fell once again to the Lady Panthers, this time 49-36 in the Badger Dome.
The loss drops the Lady Badgers to (3-4) overall, and (2-3) in the Grand Canyon Region. Prescott will play at Bradshaw Mountain on Friday night at 7:00pm.

Wrestling
The Badgers improved to (5-1) with a hard fought 45-30 victory over a scrappy Peoria squad.
Wallace Stooks(5-1), Paul Napper(5-1), Joseph Willoughby, Lincoln Eby(5-1), Christian Luptowski(4-2) and Cody Hanna(5-1) all won by pinfall. Jackson Perkins improved to (6-0) with a gritty overtime victory over a tough Peoria grappler. Landen Francis improved to (6-0) with a forfeit victory. Wyatt Rewerts wrestled tough against a seasoned Peoria wrestler and is (4-1) on the season.
The Badgers take to the road to wrestle Payson this Friday at 5:00pm. Unfortunately Payson will not be allowing visiting fans at this time.
Varsity Boys Basketball
The Badgers dropped a close one last night to Coconino 50-47. It was a battle of the two of the top tier teams in the Grand Canyon Region, with the Badgers just a game back coming into the contest.
Coach Travis Stedman said, “We had a chance to win it at the end, but missed a couple looks. It was a back and forth battle and I am very proud of our group.”
Milap Owens led all scorers with 17. Jason Parent added 16. Coconino’s Preston Olney led the Panthers with 16.
Prescott fell behind in the first quarter, trailing by five. The Badgers were able to close the gap to 22-19 at the break.
It was close throughout, but the the things the Badgers needed to happen down the stretch, just did not, resulting in the three point setback.
The loss drops Prescott to (4-2) in the Grand Canyon Region, and (4-2) overall. Coconino remains on top of the GCR with (6-0) record.

Boys Soccer
The #1 team in Division 4 remained perfect on the season. Badgers knocked off American Leadership Academy of Queen Creek 4-0 last night at home. Prescott improves to (6-0) overall, and are (4-0) in the Grand Canyon Region.
Next stop for the Badgers is a trip to play Seton Catholic in Chandler, on Monday at 6:00pm.
