In cooperation with the Arizona Governor’s Office of Highway Safety, the Prescott Valley Police Department conducted a traffic enforcement detail, on Tuesday, June 7, 2022. From 6:00am to 10:00am, they saturated State Route 69 between Truwood Drive and Glassford Hill Drive seeking speed violators and other traffic violations. During that time, 45 vehicles were stopped.
During the week of May 22nd, 2022, the Traffic Safety Section of the Prescott Police Department conducted extra traffic enforcement on Prescott Lakes Parkway. Officers concentrated their efforts on this roadway looking for dangerous and reckless violations to include speeding violations. In total, officers stopped 55 vehicles which resulted in 98 traffic violations. The Prescott
Glassford Hill Road has experienced a surge in traffic related collisions in late 2021 and early 2022. In 2021, Prescott Valley Police officers took 42 traffic collision reports and issued 938 citations on Glassford Hill Road. In response to this trend, the Prescott Valley Police Department recently conducted their third special enforcement detail this year.
